The Alumni Association is made up of past graduates of the Leadership Sunnyvale program. The Association's Vision Statement reads: "Leadership Sunnyvale Alumni will be the trustees of effective community leadership in Sunnyvale."
To this end, the Alumni Mission follows...
Alumni are already active throughout the community in diverse activities, why would we have to take on the goal of becoming the trustees of effective leadership in the area? Because thoughtful participation can better support our own replacements in the community. We can do this financially. Alumni can do this by working together to be there for others so their road will become more effective. And that is what our goal is; to be more effective in our own life. Now, let us think about the community as a whole!

Alumni Picnic - 2004
The Alumni Association has scheduled yearly picnics. We have also organized special educational events, group community projects and other social events. Quarterly, a newsletter is mailed out to alumni. Joining the Alumni Association is free the immediate year after graduation and has had a nominal fee to maintain membership each following year.
The Leadership Sunnyvale program has been running for 20 years. The program exists today because of what has been carried through to the present by the alumni - afterall, the program is run by the alumni. We are collecting old Alumni Newsletters, scanning them, and making them available on our website. If you happen to have an old copy of such a newsletter, we would greatly appreciate the opportunity to copy it and add it to the list here!
Note: We are looking for Alumni Newsletters to add to this list. If you have any - we would love to hear from you!

The Alumni Board of Directors is made up of a group of the Alumni Association, which is responsible for activities and newsletters throughout the year. At least one member of this committee is a representative of the SVL Board of Directors. Board meetings are held every first Monday of the month at the Sunnyvale Community Center, except when a holiday conflicts.
