Class of 2006-2007 Reception Wednesday, December 6, 2006 (rescheduled once again!)
Meet fellow classmates at an informal reception 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM

This is an informal opportunity for class members to get to know each other, and for the Board to greet the new class and the class to understand that there is a Board of Directors supporting them. The incoming class will receive written invitations which will include the address of this get-to-together. Food will be provided by the Board.

Community Days for 2006-2007

Leadership Sunnyvale
8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

1) Projections 2007 Wednesday September 6
  Participate in an interactive community forum focusing on key issues facing Silicon Valley. Hosted by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. Begins at 8:00 AM! Location: University of Santa Clara, Mayer Theatre 500, El Camino Real, Santa Clara , CA

2) Character of the City Day Thursday October 19
  Discover the past, present and future of Sunnyvale via historic slides and a guided bus tour.
 
3) Health & Human Services Day Thursday November 16
  Be informed about the state of health care today from a local perspective. Experience some human services available to Sunnyvale residents.
 
4) Government Day Thursday December 7
  Examine Sunnyvale's local government structure. Tour Civic Center facilities.
 
5) Public Safety Day Thursday January 18
  Learn how the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department provides fire, police and emergency services. Meet a representative from the District Attorney and Public Defender's offices.
 
6) Business Day Thursday February 15
  Discover why a vibrant business community is important to Sunnyvale. Become familiar with the role of the City and the Chamber of Commerce in supporting and encouraging economic development.
 
7) Education Thursday March, 15
  Experience education by presenting a Junior Achievement program in an elementary classroom. Explore major issues facing local school districts in Sunnyvale with school administrators.
 
8) Environmental Issues Thursday April 19
  Visit sites that demonstrate Sunnyvale's commitment to the environment.
 
9) Public Works and Parks & Recreation Thursday May 17
  Become familiar with how the Public Works Department maintains the city's infrastructure. Gain knowledge of programs presented by Parks and Rec. for residents of all ages and interests.
 
10) Graduation Week of May 21-25
